Introduced into Ayaini (1962) and Kossou (1971) reservoirs. Known from Niger River basin (Ref. 1989). Usually seen in the Kossou Reservoir of the Bandama River basin (Ref. 272, 1739), Bia River - including the Ayame Reservoir (1963) (Ref. 272, 1739, 13364, 50316), Agnébi River (Ref. 50316), Eholie and Noe rivers (Ref. 83625).
